DOMESTIC ENERGY ASSESSOR’S COURSE DESCRIPTION
Option 1: 5 days (Fast Track)
The Course that we offer consists of five days teaching and testing.
- Day 1 Course objectives overview of the programme, and covering National Occupational Standards.
- Day 2 DEA Manual, Business set-up, professional letters and Portfolio building.
- Day 3 Site Notes and information for the Energy Performance Certificate. Safety Procedures. Flat, Maisonettes and Sampling Process.
- Day 4 Business Plan and Method Statements Risk Assessment’s and Equipment.
- Day 5 Exam on line with Gola. Assignment 1, (Flat, in Weston-Super-Mare)
Option 2: 9 Days (Extended Course)
If you require the nine day Course, the first four days will cover Plumbing, Heating and Construction and Basic Building. We will also cover Environmental Awareness and Energy Efficiency
You will then continue with the five day Course
City & Guilds Examination’s
Unit 1 consists of 50 questions over six areas.
- Improve individual performance
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and professional practice.
- Interpret Part 5 of the Housing Act and associated Regulations and Requirements.
- Maintaining safe and secure practice and procedures.
- Assess building age, structure, construction and materials.
- RdSAP Methodology and Conventions.
Unit 2 consists of Five Assignments
- To agree Terms, Conditions and Arrangements.
- Investigate relevant matters relating to the property.
- Identifying representative properties for inspection.
- Collect and collate information for the assessment of Energy Efficiency.
- Produce and maintain complete records/explain there contents.
- Produce five Energy Performance Certificate’s relating to the Course matrix.
