Recognised Qualification for CORGI registration.

    Who should take Gas ACS Assessments?

  • Operatives that wish to renew / upgrade their ACS / ACOPS domestic qualifications.
  • Persons that wish to return to the gas industry and need to renew their domestic qualifications. (It is advised that you attend the Gas Update Course beforehand).
  • Persons who have achieved an NVQ level 2 in gas, heating or plumbing showing relevant practical experience.

    What is involved?

  • Approximately three days covering initial Domestic Natural Gas Safety (CCN1) or 2 days reassessment
  • Practical Assessment

    Theory Assessment

  • Domestic Gas Fired Central Heating – Boilers (CEN1)
  • Domestic Gas Cookers (CKR1)
  • Domestic Gas Fires & Wall Heaters (HTR1)
  • Domestic Gas Instantaneous Water Heaters (WAT1).
  • Domestic Ducted Air Heaters – Warm air (DAH1)
  • Domestic Meters – (MET1)
  • Domestic Laundry Appliances – (LAU1)
  • Domestic Leisure/Miscellaneous (LEI1)
  • Practical and theory of all the above.
  • Time depends on which categories are undertaken

    What next?

  • You can now apply for CORGI Registration, or work under your Company’s CORGI Registration number.
  • You may wish to upgrade you qualifications to commercial status.
