ACS reassessment overview

ACS reassessment is for those candidates who are experienced gas fitters with existing gas knowledge and skills. These are operatives looking to renew their certificates which have expired in the last 12 months, or are due to expire soon. This also aids those who wish to add appliances and expand their scope of work. Using this method to increase your scope of work can also be completed at the same time as renewing your existing qualifications.

What you'll learn?

Your 2 day refresher training program will cover updates and revision of gas procedures as well as recapping relevant areas. This will include:
  • Gas pressures
  • Pipework
  • Controls
  • Ventilation
  • Combustion flue gas analysis
This is excellent preparation for your ACS examination which is taken in the same week as your training. Everything is completed in-house at Weston Gas Centre near Bristol.

If you are taking CCN1, then CPA1 is now offered free of charge by Weston Gas Centre.

You will be able to choose from the following competencies:
  • CCN1 core gas
  • CENWAT1 boilers and water heaters
  • WAT1 water heaters
  • HTR1 fires
  • CKR1 cookers
  • MET1 meters
  • CPA1 analysers
